Male sexual health is a regenerative injection that addresses male sexual dysfunction. The shot uses the power of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood. It contains rich mixture growth properties that enhance blood flow to the penis and stimulate the growth of new erectile tissue. [1] As a result, men can expect longer-lasting erections, better performance, and complementary measurements that benefit them and their partners. Men troubled by erectile dysfunction can find improvement with PRP. Dr. Joseph Michaels offers patients a remarkable alternative to medications and awkward devices. About Platelet Rich Plasma

Since the 1980s, PRP has been used to assist in treating multiple ailments in the plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, and otolaryngology disciplines. [1][2] It is believed that PRP regenerates tissue because the isolated plasma has an especially high concentration of platelets that stimulate growth and repair. Platelets contain growth factors filled with nutrient proteins necessary to facilitate tissue regeneration. This, in turn, has made PRP an ingenious solution to treat multiple areas of the body.

In clinical studies on PRP for erectile dysfunction, it is suggested the growth factors introduced by the concentrated platelets in PRP can contribute to an increase in nitric oxide and other helpful chemicals necessary for relaxing the muscles of the penis to allow for adequate blood flow to achieve an erection. This is extremely helpful for men who have nerve damage in the corpora cavernosa; the structure that fills with blood to produce an erection. [1] When PRP is introduced to the body, it also facilitates vascularization, or the development of new blood vessels, which improves blood flow and erections.

PRP isn’t just another erectile dysfunction treatment. It has helped many men treat the root cause of ED. The growth factors shown in the platelets have reignited sexual prowess, function, and stamina in men. Other advantages you can enjoy in the bedroom:

  • Treatment is easy, minimally invasive, and does not require downtime
  • Increase the size and girth of the penis
  • Enhanced sensations and pleasure
  • Stronger, firmer, and longer-lasting erections
  • Better sexual performance and orgasm
  • Improves Lichen sclerosus and Peyronie’s disease

Most men can become candidates for PRP because the treatment uses their own blood supply. Despite this, interested patients should meet the following criteria to ensure that a PRP is suitable for them. They include:

  • Being in good overall health
  • Struggling with ED, poor sexual performance, and decreased sexual enjoyment
  • Looking for alternatives to traditional ED treatments
  • Want the ability to achieve erections spontaneously
  • Interested in increasing length and girth
  • Desire to treat symptoms of Peyronie’s disease

Since PRP uses your blood, it is vital that patients stay well hydrated and not skip any meals to ensure their health and comfort. In addition, patients should not consume nicotine or drink alcohol in the weeks leading up to treatment as they affect blood flow and impede the results. The same goes for medication. Patients will be asked to stop taking certain medications and supplements a few weeks before their session.

Your treatment will take place in under an hour and cause minimal discomfort. First, we’ll start the treatment by applying a numbing cream to the penis prior to injection. Once it takes effect, we’ll draw your blood. It will then be processed in a centrifuge for several minutes, where it will be agitated at high speed to separate your blood and isolate the PRP. The PRP is then prepared and injected 4-5 times into the penile shaft on each side of the penis. This will allow the PRP to work inside the corpora cavernosa and renew the tissue that facilitates erections. After the injections, you may be given a penis pump to draw blood into the penis, and ensure the PRP is distributed throughout the tissue.

Recovery is a straightforward process. Patients may experience some symptoms, including swelling, redness, and bruises. These should resolve themselves within six days after treatment. You are free to resume your normal activities within 1-2 days. Postpone strenuous movements for at least one week so that sweating or irritation does not affect the treated area. Please avoid sexual intercourse for about five days to avoid infection. Please follow the directions set out by Dr. Michaels carefully. Any deviations to his instructions may alter your results.

In the weeks that follow, men will gradually see the benefits of their treatment. Most men report seeing improvements in 2-4 months. You’ll notice firmer erections thanks to enhanced blood flow. Regenerated tissue may change the dimensions of your genitalia which will be beneficial to you and your partner. Subsequent treatment may be recommended for some patients, and will be scheduled 3-4 months apart.

What does Platelet Rich Plasma do?

Platelet-rich Rich Plasma (PRP) contains growth factors called cytokines and chemokines. These growth factors help facilitate the regeneration of new blood vessels to promote erectile tissue health in the penis. The enhanced blood circulation in the tissue ultimately leads to better erectile strength, size, and responsiveness.

Does the treatment hurt?

No, a topical anesthetic cream is applied to the area to maximize comfort. Once it takes effect, the procedure is nearly painless.

Will I feel side effects?

Minor side effects such as swelling, redness, and bruises at the injection sites may be felt during the recovery period. But these will disappear within a week.
